The Importance of Exercise for Children is especially crucial when children are young. It is an excellent time for them to become active and exposed to as many different healthy activities as possible because they are learning. The more fun exercise is for the child, the better the activity will be. It is especially beneficial if they are able to incorporate the "Play Time" exercise with other children like bouncing on a Pure Fun trampoline!
Activities that involve fewer rules offer children more room for creativity and fun. Rules and regulations can sometimes take away the "fun" of the activity for children, who may not be interested in participating in something like organized sports. Free play encourages them to stretch their minds as it provides health benefits for their bodies.
As kids spend more time watching TV, they spend less time playing and being active. Parents should limit TV, video game and computer time. Parents can set a good example by being active themselves as well with their children. Exercising together can be fun for everyone!
Physical activity helps control weight, builds lean muscle, reduces fat, promotes strong bone, muscle and joint development, and decreases the risk of obesity. Children need 60 minutes of play with moderate to vigorous activity every day to grow up to a healthy weight. Try activities like walking, bike riding, and even outdoor playground equipment like see-saws and swings!
Exposing children to many different activities during school can also help them grow into healthy, active adults. As long as children are having fun and parents remember not to push them too hard, children can easily become more physically fit and carry that into adulthood.
